Business Opportunities in IT Security

The latest leaks about spioanage  between US and Europe makes me think that there might be interesting business opportunities for IT Security-related solutions, for people in general, and governments in particular. For the case of Moz, the shortage of local qualified skills in the field is both an opportunity and threat:

* Opportunity: Because whoever provides a solution can make some money

* Threat: The decision makers (and the people who advise them), might not have the capacity (and therefore the openness) to understand (and give the proper value) to the solution proposals. How to best approach people in such a situation?

Any thoughts/experiences on this?

[Addendum, 28/10/2013, 15H23]: I am facing the following dilemma:

What's a good compromise between Privacy and National Security? The privacy Solutions we provide can very well be used by criminals in order to carry out activities with the potential of putting everyone's security at risk. We solve one problem but create a bigger one. How do we solve this issue?
