Donating money to religious places is a common practice in sri lanka. Some religious places are highly respected. People donate money to these highly respected religious places. Most of the time, people stop their vehicles, get off from the vehicle, and donate money. After donating money, they simple worship by bringing the both palms together.
My idea is to develop an SMS based system to donate money. So, no need to stop the vehicle. When a person is passing a religious place, a simple sms message can be sent. So, that the money goes to the relevant religious place. It can be further enhanced by making a pop-up message when a mobile device holder is passing a religious place. Another advantage of this system, it is not necessary to have cash at the time.
An app is also possible. However, in some countries majority of people would use ordinary mobile devices or smart phone holders will not use advanced features.
This system can be extended to beggars also. So, we can see how much a beggar gets per day. Several security modules can be built to provide necessary security services.
